Who goes to the events?
People looking to have an enjoyable night of networking, conversation, and entertainment. Most people are busy professionals that want to improve their business, social life, or love life by meeting more people with similar goals and interests.

Can I sign up with a friend?

Sure. Many people chose to come by themselves or in a group; it really does not matter.  You will be meeting lots of new interesting people!

What should I wear?
Make a good first impression by wearing clothing that is appropriate for the occasion and venue. There is no dress code, but it is always better to over-dress than to under-dress.

How much can you really learn about someone in just 3-8 minutes?
One thing is for sure—a lot more than if you never had the chance to meet them. You’ll be surprised at how much you can really learn about someone in just a few minutes. It’s enough time for you to tell if you like the person and if there is a possible mutual connection, but you don't waste a lot of time if there isn't.

What happens after a Speed-Meeting or Speed-Dating Event?
We will process your matches within 24 to 48 hours. You will then get a list with the Profiles & E-mail addresses of your mutual “matches”. Then it is up to you to make contact at your leisure.

What happens after a Speed-Networking Event?
You will get a list of the profiles (including whatever contact info they chose to disclose) of all of the participants at the event. Some events are separated into two categories businesses and end consumers. An example of this type of event is real estate related professionals and potential new home buyers. New Home buyers’ contact info will not be shared in profile cards, but the real estate related professionals’ contact info will be shared in the profile cards. At this type of event, it is up to the business professional to obtain the end consumers’ contact info at the event.

How many matches will I get at a Speed-Meeting or Speed-Dating Event?
It depends. You’ll be meeting a lot of new people, so it just comes down to how many people you are interested in. Since a “match” only occurs when both participants select “yes” for one another, the more “yes” votes you give, the higher likelihood of receiving more matches.

Can I attend an event even though I am not in that age bracket (Speed-Dating Events Only)?
We ask that our participants to be “age appropriate”. Our ages are only suggestions. Just pick the group that you feel most comfortable in.

Why do I need to book in advance?

Parties fill up quickly and are on a first-come first-serve basis. Pre-registration is important in order to prepare the venue and organize the profile cards. It is also vital in order to have a balance of men and women at speed-dating events.

If you register late there may not be a place for you on the event.

How long does the event last?
Around 2 hours give or take a few minutes.

What if I need to cancel a Reservation?
If you need to cancel an event please e-mail us at cancel@metropolitannites.com. Send us your name, e-mail address, and the event you made reservations for. Please also be familiar with our Cancellation Policy which can be found here.
